What is your record for eating macarons in one sitting?
A close friend of Macaron Madness, Julia, has recently eaten 8 different flavour varieties of macarons in one quick sitting!
Maybe not a world record, but pretty good going if you ask us!
Such indulgence is not recommended, however on some occasions it just happens.
What ingredients are used in MM macarons?
The macaron shells contain Almond Meal, Pure Icing Sugar, Egg White, Castor Sugar & Water.
We have a lot of fillings on our menu and we only ever use premium, fresh ingredients. However given the number of flavours
and diversity of ingredients per Macaron Madness developed recipe, please check with us when you order, for the filling recipe ingredients.
Do I have to share my Macaron Madness macarons?
Not always… but it is a bit more social to share, rather than consume a box in front of friends.
We’d like everyone to share a macaron and a chat with a friend every day, but you shouldn’t feel guilty if you hold a couple back for yourself.
Our research (in-house) shows you have a lot more friends when you share the macarons
Do you do anything special for Special Occassions Bomboniere?
Sure do! We have worked with a number of clients to create personalized Bomboniere concepts for amazing table settings for every occassion.
We have a range of packaging available to assist, so make an enquiry and let’s get started!
Why do different flavours cost different prices?
Our current Macaron Madness prices are as follows:
Macaron Madness Macarons $3.00 per macaron
Macaron Madness Alcarons $3.50 per ‘Alcaron’
‘Alcarons’ cost more per macaron, as there is additional expense in the alcohol used in the ingredients. Call us mad, but we only use ‘top shelf’
spirits & liqueurs.
How do I store my Macaron Madness macarons?
If you are not consuming your macarons on the day you receive them, then they should be stored in your fridge for up to 7 days.
You can also freeze your Macaron Madness macarons for up to 3 months. Just thaw for 30 minutes before consuming them –
they’ll be as yummy as ever!
Does MM conduct macaron making classes?
We love macarons so much we want to share our macaron passion with everyone.
We conduct classes that work through the entire process with you and up to 3 friends.
We’ll even leave you with a kit to get started with – but like anything, it takes practice to make perfect!
If you wish to enquire about the in-home classes, please email us at info@macaronmadness.com.au
What’s the difference between a ‘macaroon’ and a ‘macaron’?
Wikipedia will tell you…
A macaron is a sweet meringue-based confection commonly filled with ganache, buttercream or jam filling sandwiched
between two biscuits. The name is derived from the Italian word macarone, maccarone or maccherone, the Italian meringue.
The confection is characterised by smooth, squared top, ruffled circumference (referred to as the "foot" or "pied"), and flat base.
It is mildly moist and easily melts in the mouth
A macaroon is a type of light, baked confection. The original macaroon was a "small sweet cake consisting largely of ground
almonds"[1] similar to Italian amaretti.
We’ll tell you they are nothing like each other, and you could never mistake one for the other.
Viva La Macaron!
